A finger-worn visual assistant, EyeRing provides users with digital information about objects by touching or pointing at them.  With a push of the side button, the ring takes a picture or video of an object, which is sent wirelessly to a mobile phone or computer to be analysed.  The user then receives information about the object in either auditory or visual form.  This handy device will not only help the visually impaired lead more independent lives, but also make learning easier and more interactive for them.  Likewise for children too. EyeRing inspires a myriad of possible applications, such as reading printed text, music sheets, price tags and labels, among others.
