The Campus Builder Programme is designed to provide SUTD students with the opportunity to be involved in some of the early activities required to set up SUTD and to shape the development of some of the key strategies and programmes.
The main objectives of the Campus Builder Programme are as follows:
1. Enhance undergraduate learning experience for student
2. Provide opportunities for students to be involved in key SUTD programmes and initiatives during gap years
3. Shape and build the SUTD campus and its culture
4. Deliver value for SUTD
5. Contribute in building a dream campus
The Campus Builder Programme is developed with a spirit of empowerment and ownership. The proposed projects and activities are broadly divided into the following categories:
1. Full-time and part-time programmes
2. Self-proposed and structured programmes
Full-time Programme
For the full-time programme, students are typically expected to work together with one mentor, who would be a faculty or staff of SUTD. These are typically structured programmes with very specific goals and objectives. Some examples are setting up the website for courseware, evaluation of IT equipment and technology for various needs and International Design Centre research activities.
Part-time Programme
For the part-time programme, students will work on a more flexible basis to cater to their full-time commitment. Some examples are ambassador of SUTD during student briefings, SUTD social network facilitator and coordinator or facilitator for setting up professional bodies or clubs.
Self-proposed Programme
At SUTD, openness to ideas is very important. If a student has a burning idea or desire, do let us know and we will find an appropriate opportunity to make it happen. Please propose your ideas to us. Both full-time and part-time programmes are welcome.
Any participation in the Campus Builder Programme is welcomed and at the student’s discretion. It will not have any impact on their educational credits.
Application for the Campus Builder Programme is closed. Please
