It is vital to have a stimulating and supportive environment in which students will be motivated to pursue their passion in design and research. SUTD’s pioneer batch of students will pave the way and set benchmarks for future generations to look up to.
SUTD matriculates its first batch of students in April 2012. At SUTD, students will complete a comprehensive education in only 3.5 years.
Students will receive an education in science, technology, arts, humanities, and social sciences, together will firm grounding in management and entrepreneurship. This interdisciplinary curriculum provides a well-rounded education.
Other key features of our well-balanced education include:
- Independent Activity Period (IAP), included in the academic year, allows students the opportunity to explore their own personal interests.
- Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme (UROP) allows students to work on cutting edge research as junior colleagues in a faculty member’s research team.
- Undergraduate Practice Opportunities Programme (UPOP) helps students gain the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to effectively apply classroom learning to successful internships and careers after graduation.
