Application timeline
Applications for the September 2027 intake are now open until 31 May 2027. Applications are reviewed in batches and applicants are encouraged to apply early.
Criteria for admission
There is one intake for the MTD (AI and Technology in Education) programme each year in September.
Applicants should possess the following:
- At least a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline;
- Proficient in Mandarin, both written and spoken;
- Interested candidates with undergraduate degrees in an unrelated discipline may be considered on a case-by-case basis*;
- Related job experience will be considered for admission.
This MTD programme is open to:
- Educators, curriculum designers, education administrators, EdTech professionals, education technologists, and corporate trainers in ASEAN countries and mainland China, who hold a university degree and have a strong passion for teaching at the middle school, high school, university, or continuing education levels;
- Individuals seeking to develop expertise in creating and implementing technology-driven pedagogical tools;
- Candidates should have a solid foundation in education and a keen interest in integrating AI and technology into their teaching practices. A demonstrated passion for improving educational outcomes and advancing the use of technology in education is essential.
* Applicants with a bachelor’s degree not relevant to the programme can submit a resumé or portfolio highlighting your skills, abilities and experiences to augment your application.
All applications are considered holistically by the MTD Admissions Committee. Decision by the MTD Admissions Committee will be final. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission.

Before starting your online application, please prepare the following documents (in PDF format) / information:
- NRIC (front and back) for Singapore Citizens/Permanent Residents, or Passport (info page) for international applicants
- Bachelor’s degree and academic transcript
- Names, email addresses and institutions/organisations of two referees
- Statement of Objectives / Personal Statement (approximately 500 words)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Applications must be accompanied by all required supporting documents to be reviewed.
The online application takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Documents not issued in English should be accompanied by an official or certified English translation.
Application fees
All applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of S$21.80 (inclusive of prevailing Goods & Services Tax).
