Mr Ronny Tan

Board Member, Lombard Odier Asia

Ronny serves on the Asian Board of Swiss private bank, Lombard Odier and is a director of Lombard Odier (Singapore) Ltd as well as Singapore Exchange Regulation Private Ltd, the independent frontline market regulator of SGX. He also sits on the Appeal Advisory Panel of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
Before retiring as Vice-Chairman of Deutsche Bank, Ronny was the Chief Country Officer for Singapore, regional head-office for Asia-Pacific for 12 years. He chaired the CSR Committee when DB Singapore was named "Corporate Philanthropist for Year”.
During his career, Ronny was involved in the financial sector in various ways. For over a decade, he served on the Council of The Association of Banks in Singapore and The Singapore Foreign Exchange Market Committee which he helped establish during his time at the MAS. He was the past President of ACI Singapore - The Financial Markets Association and continues to be an adviser. For many years, he sat on the board of Singapore Commodity Exchange as well as the Income Tax Board of Review.
Besides a successful career as a senior banking professional, Ronny has been active in the social and non-profit sector.
Ronny is a Board Trustee at the Singapore University of Technology and Design since its inception. He also serves on the Taman Jurong Citizen Consultative Committee and the Property Committee of Singapore Health Services (SingHealth). Until this year, he was a board member of Sentosa Development Corporation and President of Sentosa Golf Club. For almost a decade, Ronny was the Chairman of Assisi Hospice and a board member at the Singapore Art Museum.
Ronny holds a Bachelor degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Singapore as well as a Diploma in Banking and Finance. He was conferred the Public Service Medal (PBM) for contributions to the nation.
