As new technologies emerge, it has become imperative for academic institutions to start making use of these new tools to explore and find new ways to help students learn. One of SUTD's core studio class under the Architecture and Sustainable Design (ASD) pillar explores the thresholds between the real and the virtual through the use of Virtual Reality – a bold and innovative approach to architectural education locally, regionally and globally. Under the topic of Digital Archives, students are tasked with exploring techniques and issues about liberating the archival of thought or ideas from the local place, and to develop new forms and/or methods of archival. Students also address the relationship between what is “material” and “digital” within the discipline. Be the first to experience architecture in virtual reality, and virtual reality in architecture.
