Elastic Architecture Workshop

Open to pre-university participants from 16 to 21 years old, who are either NSFs or have completed NS, and students currently enrolled in IB Schools, IP Schools, International Schools, Junior Colleges or Polytechnics in Singapore ONLY.

This 3-day Elastic Architecture Workshop is targeted at students with an interest in architecture and sustainable design. The programme aims to expose participants to the rigours of architecture in a fun and meaningful way.

Through the workshops, you will get to experience both hands-on and digital work that goes behind designing. This would also be a great opportunity for you to know more about SUTD and the Architecture and Sustainable Design (ASD) Pillar through interacting with SUTD students who will be your mentors for the 3 days.

Programme

Day 1 16 January 2020 (Thursday) 10AM to 6PM	Orientation Talks Workshop 1 (Hands-on): Introducing architecture through using a toolkit to build physical models of the design.
Day 2 17 January 2020 (Friday) 10AM to 6PM	School Tour Workshop 2 (Digital): Introducing digital modelling software such as Rhino and Grasshopper which are commonly used by SUTD ASD students. Workshop 3 (Sketching): Sketching, which complements Workshop 1, is used for ideas generation and visualization. Project Brief

Cost: S$30 + GST per attendee (to be paid 2 weeks before event)
