What to Expect

Python is one of the most popular programming languages today, with many applications in computing, engineering, data science and artificial intelligence.

In this 2.5-hour workshop under the guidance of SUTD faculty and students, you will be introduced to the concept of coding, and learn basic python programming and computing concepts such as selection and loops. 

At the end of the workshop, you will be able to apply what you have learnt to draw basic shapes like squares, polygons and arcs, and even more complex shapes and patterns. Stand a chance to win Grab Food vouchers with your coding artwork in a friendly competition with the rest of the participants.

About the Instructor

Dr Malika Meghjani

Assistant Professor, ISTD

 

Listed on Robohub as one of the 30 women in Robotics that you need to know in 2019. She continues to inspire the next generation on topics in robotics, computer vision and artificial intelligence.


Dr Natalie Agus

Lecturer, ISTD


An alumnus of SUTD, her passion in teaching has led her to become a lecturer at SUTD who teaches programming in Python, Java, C#, and C/C++.


Dr Norman Lee

Senior Lecturer, ISTD


Teaches mainly Python programming and Android programming (using Java) at SUTD, his current research interest lies in the area of learning analytics.
