The Cityneon Holdings — SUTD Scholarship is established to encourage academic and learning excellence by attracting outstanding talent to pursue their undergraduate education at SUTD.


The Scholarship is open to Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents who

  • are full-time undergraduates enrolled at the University in any of its four pillars (ASD, EPD, ESD, ISTD) and in any year of study;
  • have good academic standing with strong written and verbal communication skills in English; 
  • are self-motivated with strong leadership potential and a global mindset;
  • must have a keen interest in the donor's business;
  • are active in 5th Row (co-curricular activities) and community service involvement.

Special consideration will be given for candidates with demonstrated financial need.


  • The Scholarship is valued at S$15,000 per academic year and is tenable for the normal duration (up to four years) of the respective degree programmes at SUTD, subject to good academic standing and other terms.
  • The quantum will be used towards the annual subsidised tuition fees (after Tuition Grant) and other study-related expenses.
  • No bond is attached to the Scholarship.
  • The recipient will receive subsidised fees under the Tuition Grant Scheme (TGS) from the Singapore Government.
  • The Scholarship also covers the hostel fees for the entire duration of the Freshmore year, i.e. 3 terms (valid only for scholarships awarded to Singaporeans from 2016 onwards).


  • Successful recipients shall take up an internship with Cityneon Holdings Pte. Ltd.


  • Application for the scholarship is made at the same time as application for admission to SUTD.

  • Shortlisted applicants will be notified in due course.

  • Scholarships are awarded on the basis of competition among eligible applicants.

  • SUTD reserves the right not to award any scholarship if there are no candidates of sufficient merit. The decision of the selection committee is final. Enquiries or disputes surrounding its decisions will not be entertained.
