*Applicable to Ph.D / EngD / MEng / IbD and NEED students. The check-out date for NEED students will be adjusted according to the course end date; this will be communicated separately to the relevant students. For other graduate students, please refer to the corresponding webpages for more information.

  • Residents are expected to stay for the full duration of the housing contract. Those who shorten or cancel their stay may be imposed cancellation charges.
  • Students who are due to be conferred before the end of the above housing period will have their housing end dates adjusted accordingly.

  • Check-in and check-out are to be done on the designated dates/time unless otherwise stated in the housing offer. Administrative fees may be applicable for check-in/check-out outside of the designated dates/times or outside of office hours.

  • Residents wishing to move in before the check-in dates, i.e. those who wish to move in during the early check-in period, are to email at least two weeks prior to the official check-in date. Requests are subject to availability.

  • Residents moving in before the contract start date(s) would be charged accordingly for additional nights. Those checking in later than the contract start date are liable for the full student housing fees based on the housing contract unless otherwise informed.

  • Residents who wish to stay beyond the official check-out date are to email at least two weeks prior to the official check-out date. Requests are subject to availability.

  • Residents who fail to vacate their accommodation by the check-out date and time may be subject to disciplinary action by the University and are liable for late check-out charges/additional nightly charges. The Office of Housing will take appropriate measures to recover the room and/or apartment.
