It is our pleasure to share that Associate Professor Lu Wei’s paper has been selected to receive the “Area Chair Award” at ACL 2023. Lu Wei is the Co-PI of the overall project led by NUS (Lead PI: Prof. David Hsu; PI: Prof. Lee Wee Sun). The project is about generating floor plans from natural language descriptions, and is a joint work with NUS, A*STAR, and Associate Professor Sam Joyce from the ASD Pillar.

ACL (Annual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics) is the best conference in natural language processing (NLP), and only top 1.6% papers submitted were nominated for award this year. The award is for the Area “Resources and Evaluation”, and only 1 paper received the award for this area (1/236 submissions to this area: top 0.4%)
