We are pleased to share that Prof Li Xiaoli delivered a keynote address at the 2026 Asia-Pacific Conference on Artificial Intelligence Education (AAIEC 2026) in Fuzhou, China, centred on the theme “Design AI-Enabled Education.”
In the keynote, Prof Li highlighted how artificial intelligence and large language models are reshaping education, unlocking new opportunities for more personalised, scalable, and intelligent learning systems. Key areas of focus included:
- SUTD’s distinctive design- and AI-centric approach to education
- Knowledge tracing and learner modelling using behavioural data
- AI-assisted programming education and automated feedback generation
- Approaches to distinguishing human-written code from AI-generated code
- The future of intelligent education systems in the era of generative AI
Prof Li also participated in the Deans’ Panel Discussion, contributing to an exchange of perspectives on the future of AI-enabled higher education and talent development.
The conference provided a valuable platform to engage with researchers, educators, and industry experts, fostering meaningful discussions on how AI can enhance teaching quality and learning outcomes.
