Prof Li Xiaoli speaks at the AI Factory Hackathon 2025 in Seoul

Prof Li Xiaoli was invited to speak at the AI Factory Hackathon 2025 on 16 December 2025, held in Seoul, where he delivered a presentation titled “AI for Smart Manufacturing: Making of Sensor Time Series – An Introduction to Singapore’s Time Series Foundation Models.”

The hackathon brought together leading researchers, industry practitioners, and policymakers from around the world to exchange insights on the future of AI-driven manufacturing. The programme highlighted emerging trends in AI foundation models and the development of next-generation industrial AI platforms.

 

Key highlights of the event included:

  • Global perspectives on AI for smart manufacturing
  • Collaborative R&D on time series, image, and multimodal AI models
  • Best practices shared by major industrial consortia
  • Forward-looking discussions on policy and future directions during the AI Factory General Assembly

Prof Li also had the opportunity to engage with distinguished leaders and researchers, including Dr Yoonjong Chun (Chairman & President, KEIT), Dr Tae-Hoon Choi (Executive Managing Director, KITECH), Dr Yunhan Kim, and Prof Byeng Dong Youn (Seoul National University), among others.

 

The organisers—Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT), and Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI)—as well as all speakers and participants are gratefully acknowledged for making the event a success.
