Professor Li Xiaoli joins the 2026 Class of PHM Society Fellows
ISTD Head of Pillar Professor Li Xiaoli, has been selected to join the 2026 Class of PHM Society Fellows. This prestigious international distinction honours his significant contributions to prognostics and health management (PHM) and the translation of research into practical industrial solutions.
The Fellowship recognises Prof Li’s achievements in industrial artificial intelligence, time-series sensor analytics and intelligent maintenance, with applications across the manufacturing, semiconductor and aerospace industries. It celebrates his commitment to advancing research that helps address complex engineering challenges.
The award citation highlights his contributions to data-driven prognostics, time-series representation learning and weakly supervised learning. His work, together with his research teams and collaborators, has advanced deep-learning frameworks for multichannel sensor analytics and remaining useful life prediction, supporting the development of scalable approaches to condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.
These contributions connect advances in AI with practical engineering needs, helping engineers anticipate equipment failures, make better maintenance decisions and keep complex systems operating safely and reliably. For Prof Li, seeing research ideas put into practice is one of the most rewarding aspects of his work, making recognition from the international PHM community especially meaningful.
Prof Li shares this honour with his students, colleagues and industry collaborators, including those at SUTD and A*STAR, whose ideas, dedication and support have helped make these achievements possible. He also expresses his sincere appreciation to the PHM Society, the selection committee and everyone who supported his nomination.
Looking ahead, Prof Li will serve as General Chair of PHM-AP 2027, the Asia Pacific Conference of the Prognostics and Health Management Society. The conference will take place in Singapore, bringing together researchers and industry practitioners to exchange ideas, strengthen collaborations and advance practical PHM solutions.
We warmly congratulate Prof Li on this distinguished achievement. His recognition is a proud moment for the SUTD community and reflects the research excellence, innovation and real-world impact that we strive to advance through our work.
