Design Science
Design Science is a research-driven field dedicated to understanding and improving the design process. This course applies the scientific method to analyse design activities and systematically develop and evaluate new design methods.
Materials and Manufacturing Processes Selection in Design
Be equipped with broad understanding of materials and manufacturing processes essential for engineering product design. Participants will gain insights into the nature and characteristics of key material categories, their practical applications and the corresponding manufacturing techniques suited to each type.
Statistical Learning for Data Science
This introductory course offers a comprehensive foundation in both the theory and practical applications of statistical machine learning. Through real-world examples, the course demonstrates how machine learning methods are applied in practice, while also unpacking the fundamental principles that underpin these techniques.
User Experience: Understanding Culture for Design
This course explores anthropological theories and research methods, including ethnography, empathy, interpretation and semiotics, and how they can be applied to create human-centred designs that are culturally attuned.
