Understanding Product Security Certification

Under the Smart Nation initiative in 2014, it is anticipated that there shall be growing inter-connectvitiy betweeen smart devices and sensors. Increased interconnectivity leads to increased dependencies between smart devices and sensors. Hence, it is crucial that each node in the network of devices implements safeguards to thwart potential cybersecurity attacks. In 2019, Singapore attanined the status of Common Criteria Certificate Authorising Nation. Common Criteria is the de facto standard for cybersecurity product certification around the world. Today, 31 nations, including Singapore are of the Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement (CCRA) for mutual recognition of certification
