Frequently asked questions

Who can apply for the CE Master’s Sponsorship Programme?

SAF Officers who graduated from Phase 1 of the CSC or CSC(E) are eligible to apply for the SAF CE Master’s Sponsorship Programme. Applicants must also meet SUTD’s admission requirements as stated on the website.

Does admission to SUTD guarantee SAF sponsorship?

No. Admission and sponsorship are separate processes. Successful applicants will receive a Letter of Offer from SUTD, which should be submitted to your respective PMCs for sponsorship and full-pay study leave consideration. Sponsorship remains subject to SAF’s approval.

Should I apply to SUTD before seeking sponsorship approval?

Applicants are encouraged to consult your PMC on the applicable process and requirements. In general, you will first need to complete SUTD’s admissions process and receive a Letter of Offer before the sponsorship application can be processed.

Can I apply for more than one CE Master’s programme?

Applicants may apply for up to three master’s programmes at SUTD but may accept only one admission offer. Applicants should select programmes that are most relevant to your professional development needs and may want to consult your PMC before applying for multiple programmes.

What is the maximum candidature period to complete the master’s programme?

Within 2 years for Master by coursework degree programmes, and within 3 years for Master by research degree programmes.
