China Scholarship Council (CSC) – SUTD Joint Scholarship Programme

The CSC-SUTD Joint Scholarship Programme is open to outstanding Chinese citizens and Chinese Permanent Residents who are full-time students from Chinese universities and research institutions to:

1. Study the Master of Science in Technology and Design (MTD) degree programmes as full-time international students at SUTD; or
2. Enrol in co-supervised doctoral study programmes as visiting PhD scholars* at SUTD.

Master of Science in Technology and Design (MTD) degree programme

Interested candidates applying for scholarship under the MTD degree programmes must have received and accepted an official Offer before submitting their scholarship application to SUTD. Successful applicants will then be issued a Letter of Invitation by SUTD for their subsequent application to the China Scholarship Council (CSC).

Important: Please note that the official Offer Letter for the MTD degree programme is NOT a Letter of Invitation for the CSC scholarship application.

Joint Doctoral (Visiting PhD) Scholarship programme

Interested candidates applying for scholarship under the joint doctoral (visiting PhD) programme are encouraged to contact the relevant SUTD faculty member in their research area directly. Initial screening of applications will be conducted by the faculty. Successful candidates will be issued a Letter of Invitation for their subsequent scholarship application to the China Scholarship Council (CSC).

All eligible applications will be submitted to CSC for their review and final approval. Please note that there is no appeal process.
