AM Family Capital Foundation – SUTD Bursary

Eligibility

• Any nationality, with preference for Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents
• Full-time undergraduates enrolled in any year of study and in any degree programme at the University
• Good moral character and community spirit
• Have demonstrated financial need (monthly household PCI ≤S$2,500)

Benefits of award

• The value of each award will be commensurate with the recipient’s level of financial need and shall be applied towards the payment of tuition fees and other study-related expenses.
• The award is tenable for 1 academic year.
• There is no bond to be fulfilled towards the donor.
• Recipients may reapply to be considered for the award in their subsequent year of study, subject to meeting the prevailing eligibility criteria of the award.

Terms & conditions

1. The recipient may not, without the approval of the University, hold concurrently any other scholarships or grants.
2. The recipient must have taken up the Tuition Grant Scheme by the Singapore Government during enrolment. Read more on the Tuition Grant Scheme here.

Established in 2023, the AM Family Capital Foundation is a donor-advised fund set-up with the Community Foundation of Singapore to streamline and structure the family’s philanthropic endeavours within Singapore. This foundation reflects the deep commitment of its founders, Ms Lee Chia Yi (Mrs Wu) and Mr Wu Ching-Hsin (Mr Wu), to making a lasting impact on the community.   Mr and Mrs Wu are passionate about supporting initiatives in education, healthcare, and the arts. They believe that these areas are fundamental to the growth and development of a thriving society. Beyond these core areas, they also maintain a keen interest in backing innovative projects that demonstrate the potential for long-term, sustainable impact.
