CK Than Bursary
The CK Than Bursary is established to provide financial assistance to deserving undergraduates pursuing their studies at SUTD.
Eligibility
- Singapore Citizen
- Full-time undergraduate students enrolled in any year of study in any degree programme at the University
- Good moral character and community spirit
- Demonstrated financial need with monthly household Per Capita Income of S$2,500 and below, or the prevailing upper limit for monthly household Per Capita Income as specified by the Ministry of Education for the eligibility criteria for the Higher Education Bursary
Benefit of award
- The value of each award will be commensurate with the recipient’s level of financial need and shall be applied towards the payment of annual tuition fees only.
- The award is tenable for 1 academic year.
- There is no bond to be fulfilled towards the donor.
Terms & conditions
- The recipient may not, without the approval of the University, hold concurrently any other scholarships or grants.
- The recipient must have taken up the Tuition Grant Scheme by the Singapore Government during enrolment. Read more on the Tuition Grant Scheme here.

| CK Than is an entrepreneur, logistics leader, and strategic investor with more than 25 years of experience in the logistics, transportation, and supply chain industry. He is the Founder and Director of ALP Venture, a Singapore-based investment and strategic holding company, and the Chairman of Regent Group, a diversified logistics company headquartered in Singapore.
Beyond business, CK is deeply committed to giving back to society. Coming from a humble background and having faced limited opportunities to complete his own education, he believes strongly that education should be a fundamental right, not a privilege. Through the SUTD bursary, CK hopes to support deserving students in overcoming financial challenges, enabling them to pursue their academic ambitions, realise their full potential, and contribute meaningfully to society and Singapore’s future. |
