Prima – SUTD Scholarship
Supported by Prima Limited, the Prima – SUTD Scholarship is available to outstanding undergraduates pursuing their studies at SUTD.
Eligibility
- Singapore Citizen
- Applying for admission to SUTD’s undergraduate degree programme
- Have outstanding Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level, Local Polytechnic Diploma, NUS High School Diploma, IB Diploma or Year 12 equivalent qualifications
- Have a passion for technology and design
- Demonstrated financial need with monthly Per Capita Income of S$2,000 and below
Benefits of award
- The Scholarship is valued at S$15,000 per academic year for up to 4 academic years and shall be applied towards the payment of tuition fees and study-related expenses.
- There is no bond to be fulfilled towards the donor.
Terms & conditions
- The recipient may not, without the approval of the University, hold concurrently any other scholarships or grants.
- If the recipient decides to terminate the scholarship prematurely, SUTD reserves the right to impose a repayment on a case-by-case basis.
- The recipient is required to achieve and maintain good academic standing. Academic performance will be reviewed every term. The Scholarship may be withdrawn at any time if, in the opinion of SUTD, the recipient’s academic progress or conduct is deemed unsatisfactory.
- The recipient must have taken up the Tuition Grant Scheme by the Singapore Government during enrolment. Read more on the Tuition Grant Scheme here.
- Recipients are required to complete at least 20 hours of service to the University. They may take on the role of student ambassador, or any other similar role, representing SUTD to give publicity talks, to receive guests, etc., as and when called upon to do so.
Application procedure
- Interested incoming students should apply for the Scholarship when applying for admission to SUTD.
- Shortlisted applicants will be notified in due course.
- Late and incomplete submissions will not be processed.
- Scholarships are awarded on the basis of competition among eligible applicants.
- SUTD reserves the right not to award any Scholarship if there are no candidates of sufficient merit. The decision of the selection committee is final. Enquiries or disputes surrounding its decisions will not be entertained.

Prima Limited was founded in 1961 as the first flour mill in S.E. Asia. The inauguration of Prima transformed the industry for Singapore and the region as it heralded the beginning of locally milled flour replacing imported flour.
