La Curvatura | Galleria Borghese Extension

The Galleria Borghese is an icon in Villa Borghese, but its abrupt entrance could not accentuate its importance in the compound. La Curvatura, inspired by the curves by the ceiling of the church Capella dei Re Magi, is a concept that divides the space into 3 tiers, namely the services, the extension gallery and the Galleria Borghese itself. This allows visitors to experience different spaces in this hierarchy, highlighting the iconic Galleria Borghese.

La Curvatura, inspired by the curves by the ceiling of the church Capella dei Re Magi, is a concept that divides the space into 3 tiers, namely the services, the extension gallery and the Galleria Borghese itself. Blind Experience

The experience for the blind was also considered. Parts of the model replica were incorporated into the handrails in the extended gallery. The replica corresponds to the location where the artwork is at, to signal the blind to stop to have an audio guide about the sculpture while being able to touch the replica.
