Biography

A Senior Associate Director at SAA Architects, Patrik’s over two decades of professional experience brings his extensive practice-based expertise in architectural design management, regulatory compliance and the delivery of highly complex projects.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Housing, Building and Planning (Hons) (Architecture) and a Bachelor of Architecture from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). He was selected to represent USM in an International Exchange Programme at RMIT University, Melbourne, where he was not only exposed to global design methodologies and professional practice frameworks but was also places on the Dean’s List for his academic excellence. Apart from that, he further attained a Graduate Certificate in International Arbitration conferred by the National University of Singapore, strengthening his proficiency in key aspects of professional practice such as contract administration, professional liability and dispute resolution.

When pursuing his professional registration with the Board of Architects, Singapore, Patrik was awarded the Best Candidate Award in 2019 by the board, a distinction conferred on candidates who demonstrate exceptional performance in the Professional Practice Examination, an accolade that reflects his strong grounding in the professional practice of Architecture.

Patrik’s professional responsibilities span the Architect’s core roles in the successful delivery of multi-award development such as Northpoint City and Sengkang Grand Development. As a Green Mark Accredited Professional (GMAP) and a Universal Design Assessor (UDA), he actively advocates sustainable and people-centric design approaches in his projects.

Thus, with his gamut of practical experiences, he focuses his mentoring and teaching philosophy by bridging academic knowledge with professional readiness, whilst inculcating ethical practice in the future practitioners of Architecture.
