Course: Designing Energy Systems

Host university: Universitas Gadjah Mada

Supported by: HCLTech

Under the guidance of 2 HCLTech engineers, students designed a solar power system for Kampung Terban’s 775 residents, generating electricity for water pumps and wastewater treatment.

The programme not only broadened my academic horizons but also instilled a profound appreciation for the transformative potential of merging education with hands-on, community-oriented initiatives.

Tan Hun Chong (Class of 2026)

Course: Data Driven World

Host university: Chongqing University

The immersion programme at Chongqing University offers a unique opportunity for students to broaden their academic and cultural horizons. Participants will work on innovation projects, collaborate with peers from diverse backgrounds, and gain valuable hands-on experience in fields like machine learning and wireless technology.

My week-long trip to Chongqing University was an eye-opening journey into wireless energy transfer and machine learning. This experience has solidified my aspiration to pursue a career in the field of machine learning.

Timothy Seah Kai Le (Class of 2027)

Course: Designing Energy Systems

Host university: King Mongkut’s University Of Technology Thonburi

The programme saw students journeying to Ratchaburi, Thailand, where they installed solar panel lighting in three local primary schools to promote sustainability and enhance learning environments.

Our mission to assist less fortunate schools opened our eyes to the disparity in resources. Along the way, I forged deep connections with fellow students, bonding over our shared goal of making a positive impact.
