Winners of the SUTD Student Achievement Awards 2025
The annual SUTD Student Achievement Awards recognise students who have done outstandingly well in their Fifth Row activities and academic endeavours. These students have brought honour to the University and impacted the SUTD community positively.
Jyoti and Aditya Mathur Student Achievement Awards
Laurel Award
- Chia Zong Xuan, Darrell
- Darrell brought honour to the University by achieving a Bronze Medal in the Men’s 10000 metres at the Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic Games 2025 – Track and Field.
- Dominic Law Hong Ye
- Dominic did SUTD proud by clinching three Bronze Medals in the Men’s Chess Team Competition at the 21st ASEAN University Games.
- Ong Jung Yi
- Jung Yi brought glory to SUTD through his continued excellence and good standing in Swimming by clinching a Silver and Bronze Medal at the 21st ASEAN University Games and two Gold Medals at the Singapore University Games 2024.
- Tan Min
- Tan Min did SUTD proud by clinching a Bronze Medal in the Women’s 800 metres at the Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic Games 2025 – Track and Field.
- Yeo Sze Yin
- As a member of the national team, Sze Yin did SUTD proud by achieving a Silver Medal in the Tchoukball Nations Cup 2024 and a Gold Medal in the EdUHK Tchoukball Invitational 2024.
- Yogesh Vivek Shelgaonkar
- As a member of the Men’s Chess Team, Yogesh contributed to winning three Bronze Medals in the Standard, Rapid, and Blitz events at the 21st ASEAN University Games.
- SUTD Competitive Robotics Team (SOAR)
- The team brought glory to the University by achieving 4th place in the Singapore VEX V5RC Tournament 2024.
- Tchoukball Women’s Team 2023
- The team brought SUTD to greater heights of glory by winning medals at both the Singapore University Games 2023 and Collegiate Tchoukball Cup 2023.
Student Leader Excellence Award
- Ang Yong Yi, Jatlyson
- As the President of the Tchoukball Club, Jatlyson demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and transformed the club into a vibrant and thriving organisation.
- Aniag Daena Mitchelle Ocampo
- Daena demonstrated excellent leadership skills and contributed meaningfully to the SUTD community as Vice-President (Crew) of the Bands Club and as a House Guardian.
- Chen Yirong
- As the President of the 12th Student Government, Yirong actively contributed to campus vibrancy and demonstrated excellent leadership skills.
- Jesco Tan Jiong Rui
- Jesco demonstrated strong leadership through his roles as House Guardian EXCO, Housing Representative of the 9th Student Association Council, and Student Relations Director of the 12th Student Government.
- Kimberly Leong Yue Wen
- Kimberly displayed exemplary leadership and made meaningful contributions to the SUTD community in her role as Vice-President (Bands) of the Bands Club.
- Koh Yee Cheng, Danae
- As the Vice-President (Communications) of the 12th Student Government and a House Guardian, Danae worked closely with the SUTD community and contributed to campus vibrancy through her active involvement.
- Lim Jee Myang Daniel
- Daniel demonstrated excellent leadership as the Arts Cluster Representative of the 8th Student Association Council and Project Director of Night Shift Season 2 under the Productions Club.
- Lim Wei Xuan Jonas
- Jonas demonstrated exceptional leadership and made impactful contributions to the SUTD community as Vice-President (Operations) of the 12th Student Government.
- Ong Jung Yi
- Jung Yi demonstrated outstanding leadership and made meaningful contributions to the community as President of the Swimming Probationary Club.
- Ong Shu Hui, Magenta
- Magenta exercised outstanding leadership and made valuable contributions to the SUTD community through her roles as House Guardian EXCO and Housing Representative of the 9th Student Association Council.
- Rachel Lim Rui En
- Rachel displayed excellent leadership and contributed meaningfully to the SUTD community as Secretary of ROOTech of the 12th Student Government and Project Director of What The Hack 2024.

- Arishya demonstrated exceptional mentorship and steadfast commitment to the successful execution of STEAMunity.
- Hannah Eva Jacob
- Hannah made significant contributions to campus vibrancy through her involvement as the Events and Welfare Secretary of the 11th Student Government.
- Ayu Permata Halim Mendoza
- Ayu made significant contributions to campus vibrancy through her involvement as a House Guardian and her dedicated support within the Architecture and Sustainable Design Pillar.

- Glance.sg contributed to transformative change in the employment industry by demonstrating risk-taking and creativity.
- ObstaX Pte Ltd
- The team demonstrated risk-taking and creativity in positively impacting the visually impaired community through enhancing accessibility and promoting independence.
Innovation Spirit Award

- Po Heng demonstrated exceptional innovation in the design of the Hanabii pacifier, for the well-being of families with babies and young children.
- Project EVAM Committee 2024
- The team displayed groundbreaking project enhancements and showed exceptional dedication to the continuous improvement of Project EVAM.
Resilient Spirit Award
- Carrie Tan
- Carrie demonstrated exceptional resilience and tenacity in the face of formidable Karate opponents, showing unwavering determination and refusing to give up despite overwhelming odds.
- Choo Wei Ming
- Wei Ming exhibited steadfast determination and resilience in overcoming challenges and driving the continued advancement of Project EVAM.
Sustainability Spirit Award

- The team displayed unwavering dedication to reducing disposable container usage and creating a meaningful, sustainable impact on the environment.
- Greenprint Club
- The club demonstrated dedication to making a lasting, positive impact on the environment through sustainable actions such as reducing waste, promoting recycling, and advocating eco-friendly practices.
- SeaSOAR
- SeaSOAR developed a beach-cleaning robot, SAND-E, achieving environmental sustainability and enhancing coastal conservation efforts.
Outstanding Student Organisation Award
- Bands Club
- Bands Club actively promoted campus vibrancy through their steadfast support of major events for the community as well as supporting other SUTD-related events that required performances.
- EV Club
- The team actively contributed to campus vibrancy by organising numerous activities for the SUTD community and engaging in outreach to share their interests with the external community.
- Freshmen Orientation Committee 2024
- The team contributed to campus vibrancy through the organisation of the Freshmen Orientation 2024.
- SUTD Organisation of Autonomous Robotics (SOAR)
- The team contributed to campus vibrancy and student engagement at SUTD through the organisation of numerous activities for the community and beyond.

MIT Club of Singapore Excellence Award
The MIT Club of Singapore Excellence Award is for full-time third year students of the University pursuing any degree programme. The recipient for this award is Cheng Wei Xuan.
