10.026 Design Computation

This course provides an introduction to programming for students with little or no prior experience, with a special focus on design applications. It equips students with essential design computing skills that will support their studies across all pillars at SUTD. Students will explore both visual programming and Python programming and through hands-on exercises and projects, apply these skills to creative problem-solving and design exploration.

Grading scheme

Students are graded based on regular coursework, individual and group assignments and a final exam.

 

 

Workload: 5-0-7 (two 2.5 hours cohort sessions)

*The first number represents the number of hours per week assigned for lectures, recitations and cohort classroom study. The second number represents the number of hours per week assigned for labs, design, or field work. The third number represents the number of hours per week assigned for independent study.
