Advanced Materials and Technologies

This course will introduce design, fabrication, and synthesis approaches to manufacture and tailor material properties in new “digital” materials. The course will emphasize fundamental physical principles and modeling approaches for “digital” materials as well as methodologies to optimize their use in product design and manufacture. The course will introduce various advanced additive fabrication and characterization techniques. A variety of applications in both research and industry will be reviewed.
