Programme outline
Learning objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Identify and engage key stakeholders to understand their goals, challenges, and user needs, forming a clear basis for design and innovation opportunities.
- Apply structured Design and AI (DAI) methods to gather unbiased insights from users through fieldwork, observation, and interviews, and organise these findings for further AI-supported analysis and synthesis.
- Use AI tools to analyse and interpret data, uncovering patterns, trends, and insights that inform better design decisions.
- Translate and reframe user needs into clear and actionable design challenges that guide the development of innovative ideas and solutions.
- Employ human–AI ideation techniques to generate and refine creative concepts, using AI as a teammate to enhance imagination and problem-solving.
- Develop and prototype tangible representations of products, services, or systems using AI-powered tools at appropriate levels of fidelity.
- Conduct structured testing and validation sessions with users and stakeholders to assess ideas, gather feedback, and strengthen the final solution.
- Create a practical implementation plan outlining the steps, resources, and strategies required to move validated solutions towards real-world production or rollout.
Programme structure
Participants will undergo seven days of immersive training, combining lectures and hands-on project work. On the eighth day, the class will reconvene for a presentation and validation session, where participants will showcase and test their solutions as part of the course assessment.
