Freshmore Design Studio (From AY2026)
Freshmore Design Studio operates as a hands-on laboratory for spatial and digital design, fostering an experimental approach to the convergence of physical making and computational design. By radically mixing media -weaving analog sketches with digital computation – the course builds a robust skillset in 2D-3D-Narratives. This workflow bridges the gap between orthographic representation and immersive 3D environments, encouraging students to test ideas rapidly. Participants leverage parametric modelling, 3D Pointclouds, and emerging AI solutions not just to document reality, but to hack and reimagine it through digital fabrication.
The curriculum challenges students to solve a series of design problems by balancing data and intuition. Students are tasked to orchestrate efficient workflows that blend tactile craft with digital precision. Through this rigorous play, they achieve a mastery of scale and proportion, in physical and digital environments, equipping them to craft data-rich narratives that address real-world spatial challenges.
