Ronald Yeung

Ronald Yeung is the lab manager of SUTD Digital Manufacturing and Design Centre. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Engineering Product Development in 2017 at SUTD. Thereafter, he worked as a mechanical design engineer in a healthcare robotics SME. In 2022, he completed his master’s degree in engineering (research), where he researched on 3D-printed orthotics. Ronald is well-versed in 3D printing and design for AM.
Ong John Kgee

SUTD National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Cluster (NAMIC) Centre
Ong John Kgee is a Research Fellow at the SUTD, specialising in the fields of additive manufacturing and plastic injection moulding. He has a MSc in Mechanical Engineering from NUS, and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from UTM. Prior to his tenure at SUTD, he accumulated over 15 years of experience in the private sector, focusing on plastic injection moulding, engineering, project management, and QA. His current research focuses on polymer and metal AM, proficiency in utilising AM simulation and design software, design for AM, generative design, defect detection, process parameters optimisation, properties characterisation testing and validation, and publication of research papers within these domains. He has been actively involved in collaborative research projects with A*STAR and several universities in Singapore.
Muhammad Shahaan Bin Mohd Shahrin
Design Engineer
SUTD National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Cluster (NAMIC) Centre
Muhammad Shahaan is a Design Engineer for NAMIC at SUTD. With a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and an ongoing Master of Engineering, his research focuses on designing for AM. Having collaborated with industries such as healthcare, consumer electronics and security, he has gained experience in understanding users’ needs and optimising solutions through design, material selection and technology.
