Overview
This course is stackable to the Master of Science in Technology and Design (Sustainable Product Design)
This course equips participants with a broad understanding of materials and manufacturing processes essential for engineering product design. Participants will gain insights into the nature and characteristics of key material categories, their practical applications and the corresponding manufacturing techniques suited to each type.
Through the use of software tools, participants will develop the ability to select the most appropriate materials and manufacturing methods based on specific product requirements. The course also emphasises sustainable decision-making, enabling participants to evaluate and account for the environmental impact of your material and process choices.

Course dates:
- 15 September to 20 December 2025
- One session per week over a 14-week period, with a break during Week 7 (recess week).
Duration:
- 3 hours per week. Exact dates and times will be made available in August 2025.
You will attend classes alongside Master of Science in Technology and Design students.
Who should attend
