Physics Principles and Applications 1 (From AY2026)

Physics describes how reality works: how quickly a code runs or how much energy it uses depends on physics; the best way to optimise a supply chain depends on physical constraints; designing a building or robot depends also on physical laws.

We equip students with physics as abstraction tool (reducing complex phenomena to core principles); then as a source of constraint insight (determining what is impossible); and ultimately apply it as a translation tool (first-principles informing innovation across domains) in design and innovation.

Through hands-on exploration for building intuition and structured curiosity, connecting theory to practice for creative advantage, physics makes simply better thinkers, collaborators, and innovators by offering the vocabulary to bridge abstract computation with physical reality. Physics doesn’t limit creativity but grounds it by providing first principles reasoning.
