Learning objectives
By the end of the course, participants will:
- learn to apply the Workplace Hierarchy of Needs and 3Cs (Customers, Community & Culture) framework to assess your own workplace strategies;
- identify where artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance engagement, community, and culture;
- be able to use basic AI tools (no-code, GenAI apps) to create practical workplace solutions;
- design and present a simple AI-powered employee journey; and
- leave with an action plan for immediate workplace transformation.
Day 1
- Welcome & Setting the Stage
- Introductions and learning goals.
- Why workplaces matter more than ever in the hybrid/AI era.
- Quick participant poll: “What’s your #1 workplace challenge today?”
- Session 1 – Workplace Foundations & Frameworks
- The Workplace Hierarchy of Needs: From health & safety → capacity → operations → experience → purpose.
- The 3Cs Framework: Community, Culture, Customer (how workplaces enable all three).
- Case examples: Industry’s best practices.
- Mini-exercise: Participants map your current workplace against the hierarchy and 3Cs.
- Session 2 – AI as a Workplace Enabler
- AI in the workplace today: automation, analytics, personalisation.
- Mapping AI tools to workplace touchpoints:
- Engagement (chatbots, surveys, nudges).
- Community (sentiment analysis, inclusivity tools).
- Culture (recognition, internal comms).
- Hands-on demo:
Trying different AI tools under Gen AI, Agentic AI, Integrators – CoPilot/ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini/Zapier - Group reflection: Possibilities of AI in the workplace.
- Session 3 – Designing AI-Powered Use Cases
- Walkthrough: employee lifecycle, visitor touchpoints, challenges at work etc
- Discuss and develop ideas on how AI can augment the various areas at workplace.
- Sharing back: Teams design and AI-enhanced issue (e.g. new hire onboarding, visitor experience, productivity area)
- Session 4 – Hands-On AI Use Cases
- Live builds (No-Code Tools) DIY examples: AI survey analyser (upload open-ended staff feedback → generate insights).
- Build a simple AI chatbot or Avatar for workplace FAQs (using free/low-code tools).
- Breakouts: participants experiment with prompts/tools to build your own mini-use cases.
- Sharing back: 2–3 teams present prototypes.
- Session 5 – Strategy, ROI & Action Plan
- Measuring the impact: linking AI initiatives to outcomes.
- Key considerations: transparency, bias, privacy in workplace AI.
- Action plan: Each participant writes 2–3 actions you can apply in your workplace.
- Closing reflections and Q&A
