Mind, Machines, and Design
This course provides a foundation in the study of human and machine intelligence through psychology, philosophy, and design. Students will explore how humans think, learn, and create, and how AI systems simulate or challenge these processes. Philosophical perspectives will raise enduring questions about mind, consciousness, and ethics, while design perspectives will introduce methods such as design thinking to frame problems and imagine possibilities. Students will also engage with selected AI tools in guided exercises to deepen their understanding of human–AI interaction. By combining conceptual inquiry with exploratory practice, the course equips students with critical perspectives on intelligence and its role in shaping society.
