Google Industry Sharing Session

The Google team visited SUTD to share insights on cloud technologies, generative AI, and early-career pathways.

A key takeaway from the Google team was that industry gaps today aren’t about a lack of AI tools or coders, but a shortage of people who know how to apply AI to solve actual business and human needs. They emphasized that real value comes from human-centred application – organisations need people who can bridge users, business stakeholders, designers, and engineers to turn AI capabilities into solutions that are genuinely useful, usable, and implementable. This strongly validates our Supercharged DAI curriculum, where students learn to identify the right problems, redesign workflows, evaluate trade-offs, and integrate AI into services responsibly.
