SUTD-Tianjin Eco-City (SUTD-TEC) Programme
Overview
Towards a sustainable future
A structured 8-term talent development programme for the green enterprise sectors, specially developed for students who are passionate about sustainability as a key driver for change and innovation in your chosen fields.
Students will spend one year (3 terms) in China and be exposed to real-world applications and research at the heart of Tianjin Eco-City, a leading low-carbon, smart and sustainable city. Riding on the new SUTD-Tianjin Eco-City collaboration research centre, you will have the opportunity to participate in research for next generation of sustainability solutions. In addition, students may participate in overseas trips to experience first-hand on the sustainability efforts there.
You will graduate with a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or Bachelor of Science (BSc)*. degree, with a Minor in Sustainability by Design*.
* Minor in Sustainability by Design is not required for students pursuing the BSc in Architecture and Sustainable Design.

STARTsomething@SUTD
Gain knowledge and skills to navigate the start-up ecosystem with this 3-term experiential entrepreneurship programme, which includes IDEATEsomething, BUILDsomething and LAUNCHsomething (STARTsomething@SUTD)
Internship and exchange in China
Spend 3 terms in China to experience its sustainability efforts through:
- Coursework in a university in China
- Internship in a green enterprise in Tianjin
- Participation in research projects at the SUTD-TEC research centre
Minor in Sustainability by Design
Take courses leading to a Minor in Sustainability by Design along with your Major^ of choice
Work closely with faculty and industry on sustainability issues
- Capstone
Embark on a final-year Capstone project focused on sustainability with industries - Innovation Research Opportunities Programme (IROP)
Students may work on a 1-term IROP on sustainability topics under the guidance of SUTD researchers
^ Not required for students pursuing the Architecture and Sustainable Design (ASD) programme.

Students may apply for the scholarship through Brightsparks (brightsparks.com.sg) and indicate SUTD-TEC Programme in your application.
