We are pleased to share that a paper co-authored by ISTD PhD student Rulin Chen and Assistant Professor Peng Song received Technical Papers Award Honorable Mention at SIGGRAPH 2022. The first author of the paper is ISTD PhD student Rulin Chen, and the team consists of researchers from EPFL & ETH Zürich, IST Austria, and SUTD.

The paper title is “Computational Design of High-level Interlocking Puzzles.” The paper presents a computational approach for designing high-level interlocking puzzles according to the user-specified puzzle shape, number of puzzle pieces, and level of difficulty. And the key idea is to leverage a new disassembly graph to represent all possible configurations of an interlocking puzzle and to guide the puzzle design process. The project webpage of the paper is here: https://sutd-cgl.github.io/supp/Publication/projects/2022-SIGGRAPH-High-LevelPuzzle/index.html
