Security concerns are constantly on the rise especially in today’s world of Al. This session will provide insights into security issues in the Linux environment, with a focus on rootkits. Viruses and the impact on Linux will also be explored.
Hear from the speaker on how a new payload (then) was discovered with the help from an end user which hijacked the system for cryptomining activities.

While Hak Beng started his career in the anti-virus field, his passion for Linux and Open Source has kept him in various Open Source companies in the last 26 years. Currently Head of Solutions Architect with SUSE Singapore, he takes a special interest in Linux Security.
