Synopsis

Using the conceptual frame of the “polycrisis”, we will harness foresight methodologies to look over the horizon at emerging issues and the discontinuities, challenges, opportunities, and scenarios they pose for food security – with a focus on implications for cities and countries across Asia.

Looking at both current benchmarks and future visions, how may we transform our food systems to be future-ready in the face of a range of potential tomorrows? As potential building blocks, the session will discuss a range of interlinked policy, technological, cross-stakeholder, and multilateral approaches, concluding with notions/provocations on Singapore’s potential role in the wider regional an systemic futureS of food.
