HASS is delighted to share that Asst Prof Nilanjan Raghunath (HASS), together with Asst Prof Georgios Koronis, Ms Rianne Meurzec Karthikayen, and Assoc Prof Arlindo Silva (EPD) won the best paper award at the International Design Engineering Technical Conferences & Computers and Information in Engineering Conference that took place in Anaheim, California on 17 to 20 August 2025.

The paper titled “Exploring Career Motivation and Innovativeness in Engineering and Design Undergraduates” won the Best Conference Paper Award (in Design Education) at the ASME IDETC-CIE 2025. This paper integrates transdisciplinary social science insights with statistics to uncover what fuels innovation and entrepreneurship in Gen Z.
