Field trip to Mastercard Experience Center

Part of the HCD Industry Engagement Events, students from the Master of Science in Technology and Design (Human-Centred Design) programme and several SUTD undergraduates had the chance to visit the Mastercard Experience Center at its Singapore headquarters. We were warmly welcomed by Marilyne Chew, the Center’s Director, and her colleague Sara who kindly gave us a one-hour tour.

Throughout the visit, students got to see how Mastercard is leading the way in keeping online transactions safe and secure. Marilyne also shared how technology is being used to reimagine the retail experience — making payments not just safer, but also faster and more seamless for customers.

We were all inspired by how innovation truly comes alive at the intersection of technology and human experience. It was a meaningful and eye-opening trip that offered a compelling example in how design and tech come together in the real world.
