Our Master of Science in Technology and Design (Human-Centred Design) programme was excited to welcome Mr Neal Cross to SUTD, where he shared with students from the HCD programme his remarkable experience transforming DBS into a global hub of innovation through the principles of human-centred design.

Mr Cross also recounted his entrepreneurial journey in the Sumatran jungle, where he worked alongside orangutans, an inspiring example of enterprise rooted in purpose. A globally recognized entrepreneur and social innovator, Mr Cross has an extensive background with blue-chip companies in technology, finance, and data. He also shared his upcoming project with StarHub.

Mr Cross’s engaging presentation provided students with a vivid and intuitive understanding of how human-centred design can be applied across a wide range of project scales, significantly enriching HCD students’ learning experience at SUTD.

The Dialogues with Leaders series is an initiative to strengthen connections between the Human-Centred Design Master’s program and industry, in hoping to enrich student learning through first-hand professional perspectives. We are welcoming more distinguished guests to SUTD in future sessions.
