Prof Ernest Chong has been awarded the Outstanding Reviewer Award at the IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) 2025, one of the world’s flagship conferences in artificial intelligence and computer vision.

This year’s CVPR saw a pool of 12,593 reviewers contributing their expertise to ensure rigorous and high-quality peer review for thousands of research submissions. Prof Chong was selected for the Outstanding Reviewer Award, placing him in the top 5% globally among more than 10,000 reviewers—a testament to his dedication, professionalism, and insightful evaluations during the review process.

Held in June 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee, CVPR is renowned for its influential impact on the global AI and computer vision research community. The Outstanding Reviewer Award recognises individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment to advancing the field through detailed, fair and constructive reviews.
