Perry Lam has spent more than a third of his life at SUTD, having graduated with a BSc in 2015 and PhD in 2024. His PhD spanned studying sparsity in speech synthesis systems.

Before this, he was a digital nomad scriptwriter at the Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies, where he led a nomadic career in writing digital automation scripts. Besides his interest in teaching, he is most engaged discussing public policy, historical linguistics, MBTI, or human behaviour, and playing badminton with the school team or made-up games with his children.
