The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Architect-in-Residence programme with ONG&ONG Group. The signing ceremony was held at SUTD on Tuesday, 17 March 2020.

Under the MOU, both partners establish a studio space in SUTD campus where it gives opportunities for Architecture students to experience real life industry projects. The students would also have opportunities for future internship placement and capstone projects with ONG&ONG Group. This partnership gives opportunities to SUTD teaching faculty to have collaborative research projects with ONG&ONG Group.

ONG&ONG Group, as pioneer of the 360 Solution and an award winning firm, offers design, engineering and management services to encompass the full spectrum from concept to completion. As the world evolves with challenging issues, this partnership enables SUTD and ONG&ONG to work together on research and technology, to achieve breakthroughs in the built environment.

The AiR Team is currently teaching in Architecture Core Studio 3 with Assistant Professor Peter Ortner, on the Long Island Study which forms the basis for a Future Polder City – providing coastal defense against rising sea levels as well as new land for future housing.
