Biography
After obtaining my PhD from the Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) in Singapore in 2015, I began my first postdoctoral position in October 2015 with Prof. Andrea Simoni’s group at the University of Rennes, France, where I worked on few-body collisions and developed numerical methods for calculating the s-wave scattering wavelength in optical lattices. From November 2016 to July 2020, I returned to CQT as a Research Fellow, focusing on quantum technologies involving ring resonators and chiral quantum optics. For the following 1.5 years, I held a Research Fellow position at Singapore Management University, where I worked on applying quantum machine learning (QML) to quantum finance. From May 2022-May 2025, I have been a Senior Scientist I at Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A*STAR), continuing my research in chiral quantum optics while also delving into more quantum computing-oriented topics, such as quantum control, quantum combs, and non-Markovian dynamics.
