Biography
Debasish joined SUTD in June, 2016 and presently working with Prof. Stefano Galelli. We are developing an optimisation based decision making tool for the large scale deployment of check-dams to control the soil erosion. Prior to this position, he finished a short-term Research Associate position in Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Kharagpur where he investigated vegetated open channel turbulent flow. He completed my doctoral degree from the Department of Mathematics, IIT Kharagpur where I did theoretical and numerical investigations of sediment transport in fluvial environment.
