Biography

Edwin Koh is Programme Director (Capstone), Associate Head of Programme (Design and Artificial Intelligence), and Cheng Tsang Man Teaching Chair Professor at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). He has previously served as founding Programme Director (MSc in Design and Artificial Intelligence for Enterprise) and Provost’s Chair Teaching Professor at SUTD. Prior to joining SUTD, Edwin has held full-time, visiting, and committee positions at the National University of Singapore, New York University, and the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) Grand Challenges Scholars Program (GCSP), respectively. His research focuses on improving the design process and appears in journals such as Research in Engineering Design. Edwin received his BEng in Mechanical Engineering and SM in Manufacturing from the Nanyang Technological University. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as part of his master’s studies and holds a PhD in Engineering Design from the University of Cambridge.
