Biography

Eyasu received his PhD in Computer Science (Cybersecurity) from the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), his MSc in Computer Science from the University of Trento (in Italy), and his BSc in Computer Science and IT from Arba Minch University (in Ethiopia) in 2019, 2012 and 2008, respectively.

He is currently a Research Fellow at iTrust, SUTD. Prior to joining iTrust, he was a Research Scientist at the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore, a Research Collaborator at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) in Italy, a Software Engineer at Femar Consulting s.r.l in Italy, and a Software Engineer at Information Network Security Agency (INSA) in Ethiopia.

Eyasu’s research interests include multi-factor security, applied cryptography, biometrics, ML-driven security, software security, memory safety, and ICS/CPS/IoT security.
