Biography

Hendrikje Werner-Saerbeck is a senior research scientist with specialization in biotechnology and developmental biology. She led the preclinical study using Gene Therapy to treat a genetically caused form of dilated cardiomyopathy for a Singapore based biotech start-up. Prior to this, Hendrikje held a research fellow position at the Skin Research Institute of Singapore (SRIS), A*STAR, focusing on rare genetic diseases and developing a gene therapy method. Hendrikje holds a PhD in Life Sciences from the University of Muenster, Germany.
